Presidential Fellows Program
Merit scholarships are available to high school seniors who attend full-time at Miami’s Oxford campus starting in the autumn semester. Scholarships will be awarded to students in the order in which they are received. Priority applications for Miami’s merit scholarships must be submitted no later than December 1. For the 2025–26 school year, prospective first-year students at Miami are not asked to submit their ACT or SAT results.
Miami University’s highest-ranking scholarship opportunity is the Presidential Fellows Program. This scholarship provides full funding for four years of education, including all necessary fees, accommodation, and meals. In addition, there is a $5,000 academic enrichment stipend available to grantees to help cover the costs of internships, research, study abroad, and other academic endeavors. In order to entice the most brilliant minds, this program is extremely selective. On December 1, 2024, applications will be accepted for this program.

Merit Scholarships
Miami University also offers a range of merit-based scholarships for incoming first-year students based on their high school GPA. These scholarships vary in amount:
- Ohio Residents: Awards start from $1,000 to $4,000 annually.
- Non-Residents: Awards start from $4,000 to $15,000 annually.
The scholarship can be renewed for up to four years as long as the student maintains the required GPA. Students who submit their admissions applications before the priority deadline on December 1, 2024, will automatically be evaluated; no further application process is necessary.
Ohio Governor’s Scholarship
Full tuition and general costs are covered for one student from each of Ohio’s 88 counties by this scholarship, which is offered to residents of Ohio. The admission application (Miami University) is used to assess eligibility, thus no additional application is required.
Honors College and Prodesse Scholars Program
Students admitted to Miami’s Honors College may qualify for additional scholarships, such as:
- Presidential Fellows Program: As detailed above.
- Prodesse Scholarship: Provides $2,000 annually for students in the Honors College who are not selected as Presidential Fellows (Miami University).
Application Process
Students interested in these scholarship opportunities should indicate their program of choice on the Common Application when they submit their admissions application. Transcripts from high school, letters of recommendation, and, if available, standardized test results are all necessary documents for international students to submit. December 1, 2024 is the cutoff date for applications to be considered for priority.
